Nissan: a chameleon car. Driven for the first time in 1935 under the name of Datsun. It took almost 30 years (1962) to make it available to Europeans. At the end of the sixties (1969), Nissan became a competitor of Porsche: the 240Z model, a 2.4 liter 6-cylinder in-line engine that develops 150 horsepower, gives Porsche performance at more than half the price. In 1983, the name “Datsun” officially disappears. As you can see on the Nissan group web site, Nissan models profits improve regularly from 2004 to 2010 approximately:
